The Screaming Village - Available Now!

Really an interesting time we’re in. As of this post, we’re smack dab in the middle of a global viral pandemic, every country infected with no cure in sight. And no, I’m not talking about the Black Cell or Renatus. COVID-19 has swept the planet, but fret not. Some countries are already on the rebound. I hope everyone uses the time to spend with family, be together, watch TV, read a book. Hell, how about starting a new series?

The Screaming Village is now available on Amazon! It may be just the thing you’re in the mood for during these shelter-in-place orders and lockdowns. Thrown back into the world of the Black Cell infested Earth, horror begins to take root in a long buried mystery involving rogue black ops units, occult research, and a hidden society. Sci-Fi horror at it’s finest and action at its peak. If you were a fan of the initial Virion series, this new spin-off series will have you hooked. So go ahead! Dive right in!

During my last keystroke of The Perdition, and before the release of The Black Cell, I was developing a novel to kickstart what I hope to be a series of spin-off novels, which I’ve labeled as The Virion Strains, to further explore the world of Virion circa 2475AD. New characters, strange journeys, and a secret to tie them all together. These stories will explore ideas and events I unfortunately couldn’t squeeze into the initial series such as the CRYPTYK Uprising, The Second Dark Age, and even the Solar War. The first of these novels, currently titled The Screaming Village will feature several familiar faces as well as some new.

Set just one month after the insurrection in Freedom City, a rogue Naval black ops unit is tracking a missing asset with seemingly supernatural abilities. But the unit soon finds themselves hunted by this maniacal weapon, a female super soldier whose mind is lost to ideas of revenge and bloodlust. With more of a cyberpunk-horror tone, we’ll encounter much more than creepy mutants this time around.

With 2 drafts done, and the smallest of details being perfected, it was a fun project to pen. As I get closer to release, I’ll be sure to add new details and maybe even excerpts from my favorite parts of the book. Until next time!

2020 Roadmap

Hello all! It’s been a considerable amount of time since my last post and much has happened since. Because of this, I’d like to square some things off right away and say that, while I’m not an adept blogger, I intend to give weekly updates here on this page as I start the new year. This will include various postings such as excerpts from current or future projects, new concept art, writing inspirations, and more. It’s a new year and I have much coming including the release of a new book very soon (more on that in a future post). But first, some housekeeping!

As some may have noticed, the VIRION series has been released in its entirety and what a grand finish it was. The four part series chronicling a weary detective’s road to redemption in the face of a moraless Earth circa 2475AD has reached its dramatic conclusion. Many may not know, but Virion actually started off as one book, a self-contained story from beginning to end, however there were some complications with a 900 page book from a new indie author. Ultimately, splitting the series between 4 novels gave me opportunity to build the world of Virion into such a scope that its legacy and future cannot simply be told across four novels. Pre-conceptualized as a modest screenplay, evolving into what has been released to the Amazon store, this series has brought me such joy and satisfaction, and allows my mind to run wild. If you haven’t read through the entire series, or maybe if you stumbled here without picking up the first in the series, grab a copy from Amazon, it’ll set you back $.99.
